This Past Week

This week I’ve been doing a lot of writing. I have been hard at work writing “Character is in the Details” as my next non-fiction project. I have been writing “Cosmic Courier” (although I haven’t made as much progress as I would have liked to). However, this is where AI comes in handy. It certainly cannot write the story for me, but it can help me plot, plan, and prepare the story beats. While this might not seem like this is much of a help, it actually frees me to focus on the writing instead of worrying constantly about the minutiae.

It also means, however, that I will spend a bit more time in the editing process to go over everything with a fine-tooth comb, but I expect to do that, anyway. Only part of the writing is actual storytelling, the rest of it is refinement. In short, my AI assistant is an invaluable tool, and I am happy to have its help.

Speaking of AI, one thing I have always lacked the ability to do is art. I am an amateur artist at best and I don’t have the nuance or pizazz I look for in art. So I gave mid-journey a try. It is an AI like others out there, but it allows me to enter descriptions and get beautifully (sometimes) rendered art work. This art I can then put my skills as a graphic designer to use (I knew that a degree for web design would come in handy someday!). So today, I am going to share with you the cover reveal for Character is in the Details, as well as my redesigned cover for Shadow Freight and the potential cover for Cosmic Courier.

Editing and Releases Update

So far Shadow Freight is still on track for its August 2023 release, I will let you know if that changes. For now it is still in the editing process, but I expect to have that back sometime this week and I can work on refining it from there.

Also coming sometime this week will be another book trailer for Shadow Freight, this one is going to be epic and I'll share that when I have it uploaded to my YouTube Channel, which is still very new, so if you are interested please take a peek here and subscribe.
