I'm often asked where I get the inspiration for my writing and truth be told I get it from everywhere. Sometimes I am watching a TV show and there is an element like an airlock and that sparks my thoughts to start thinking about how the air lock works and what happens if... etc. A spark is all you need for a wild-fire of writing and I find those sparks where-ever I can.
My current project is the Dark Matter Delivery books. I am reluctant to call it a series because it doesn't follow any one character, each book is intended to be a stand alone story in a shared universe. My hope is that each book will feel like a complete story, but contribute to an overall feel for the universe in which they are set.
That being said, I have three novels planned so far in the Dark Matter Delivery universe. The first, and my current project, is Shadow Freight. The second which I have written some of, but it is more conceptual right now is Max Sallie Intergalactic Mailman, the third project is more a percolation of ideas and has yet to take on its true form. For the time being I am calling this third project Dropship.
Each of these installments will follow a particular type of service person, a transport freighter in Shadow Freight, a mail delivery person in Max Sallie, and a passenger transport in Dropship. On the subject matter, each of these novels is intended to be semi-serious science fiction with all the classic tropes of space travel, but focusing more on the traveling aspect.
Each of these novels will help to flesh out the Dark Matter Delivery universe and I hope to bring something unique to the genre. Stay tuned for more information about Dark Matter Delivery.
Oh one more thing ... I am currently on Chapter 5 of Shadow Freight and I am hoping to round out a chapter or so a day. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.
